Tanja Knecht
Founder MICE Ladies
Tanja has been working in the global MICE industry for over 20 years. With her consulting agency MICE Impact, she accompanies companies and destinations on the basis of the SDGs in telling their very personal stories.
She is a brand ambassador for the IMEX Group and a founding member of the She Means Community. As a coach, she loves to connect people and bring them to their potential. As a mom to a teen, she knows what it means to balance work and family (and survive over a year of homeschooling)!
Nature has accompanied her for many years as an important source of strength and energy – and this also flows into all experiences and encounters of the MICE ladies.

Katja has been in the MICE business for 25 years and has already experienced countless MICE stories with her former favorite colleague and friend Tanja, which have material for at least one book.
As Senior Project Manager MICE at Full Moon GmbH, she can combine private life with professional life and follow what is close to her heart: Travel in all its facets, from luxurious to very simple – her passion is authentic travel programs. For this she becomes a truffle pig (own statement). Even after all these years of travelling, she is always curious about new countries, people and cultures.
She loves nature and especially forest bathing and regularly retreats to the Northern Vosges for a “digital detox” – to her very personal happy place in the middle of the forest. Her strengths are the absolute attention to detail combined with the relaxed professionalism and the experience of hundreds of events carried out worldwide and her sunny humorous disposition.
“I’m concerned with the special experience that cannot be bought with money and not with a categorization in stars. My heart rises in the mountains, even as a small child I was out and about in the mountains with my grandparents – that still shapes me to this day.”

Katja has been enthusiastically active in the “event circus” since 2001 and loves and lives her job with passion and professionalism with a focus on the automotive industry. After various industry positions, she is now working at the BMW GROUP for the planning and implementation of supplier events.
To compensate for the dynamism and challenges of the events industry, she found her way to yoga and discovered that she had a second passion. This led her to her Hatha Yoga teacher training at the Vasishta Yoga School in South India. She learned to always be thankful, to free herself and to connect mind and body.
Katja’s yoga units at the MICE Ladies formats are profound connecting experiences that we let take place in extraordinary locations. The core of her yoga classes is yoga with all its senses, both in the asanas and the meditations.
